If you are a non-european citizen coming to an European country - or an European citizen going to a non-european country, you will take a private health insurance.
Some bilateral agreements with limited coverage are existing with certain countries but a private health insurance is very recommended. For example, the administrative process to obtain the reimbursement is very complicated and strong taking care the difference of the culture and language.
If you are an European citizen travelling to an other European country, you have access to the social health system of the country of destination. Don't forget to take the compulsory documents before travelling - EHIC European Health Insurance Card.
But for more comfort and for your peace of mind during your travel, you have the possibility to apply one of our international health insurance plans. Furthermore, in most of the cases the deductible is higher than our plans or the coverage is very limited
